Description: The Monument Sports Group is the CWA’s endorsed insurance provider for association members based in the United States. Since establishing this program, Monument has developed a comprehensive insurance program that focuses on risk management and long-term sustainability. This session is intended for gym owners seeking a better understanding of the insurance products available to members through the CWA Insurance Program, including members seeking alternative products for their business. In our more than 20 years as an agency specializing in association-based programming, we understand the importance of an insurance program that focuses on comprehensive risk management, and not treating insurance like a commodity.

About the Presenter:  William Jorgensen, AAI is the CWA Program Manager for Monument Sports. Will was first introduced to climbing on his journey to earn Eagle Scout, and hasn't looked back. He was an Academic All Conference Soccer Player at Ferrum College, and spent his weekends climbing in the backwoods of Virginia & North Carolina. Will works directly with climbing gyms to help them secure insurance coverage and implement risk management procedures. He attends national conferences each year and helps to conduct insurance seminars that focus on risk management, claim prevention, and sports-specific insurance coverage for new and existing businesses.

EP Climbing: Supporting the Growth of Climbing Around the World

In this presentation, Benoit Beylier of EP International and Sander Culliton of EP USA will discuss their respective relationships with the International and National sport federations and explain how these relationships have allowed all parties involved to innovate, grow, and prosper.

About the Presenter“Culliton got his start in carpentry when he was young. “By the time I was 10, I was doing construction projects with a neighbor. By the time I was 20, I was a general contractor in California,” he said.

Around that time he fell in love with climbing, which led him to manufacturing climbing holds in his garage in San Carlos, California. He split his time working at job sites during the days and shaping holds in the evenings. By the early 2000s he quit construction, moved to Bend, Oregon, and devoted full-time effort to Stone Age Climbing Holds”

Boulder Flooring: Not Just Foam and Fabric

About the Presenter: Hi there! My name is Chris Morgan. I started rock climbing in college while attending the University of New Hampshire. This soon led to being introduced to ice climbing and ski mountaineering with numerous areas in Northern New England being ripe for someone willing to get out. I moved to North Carolina to work at UCS which led to a little less climbing but a lot more whitewater paddling, more specifically whitewater stand up paddle boarding. At UCS, I manage the climbing line in addition to supporting our production team with drawings for custom padding. I'm involved with every step of the process from marketing, sales, engineering, production, and installs

About the Presenter: Ty Foose has been shaping holds and route setting for over 30 years, and is credited with contributions to a number of industry-defining innovations including dual texture holds, geometric patterns on holds (i.e. Bubble Wrap), invention of modular volumes, polyurethane hold production, "comp-style" route setting, and more.
